Terms of Use

Last updated: June 2026

These terms govern your use of wheretoturn.ca and any tools, guides, or assessments you access or purchase through it. Where To Turn is a sole proprietorship operating in Ontario, Canada. By using the site, you accept these terms.

Information, not professional advice

The guides, assessments, scores, reports, and links on this site are general business information. They are not legal, accounting, tax, or engineering advice, and no consultant-client relationship is created by using the free resources. Laws and regulations change; always verify compliance questions with the official source or a qualified professional. Decisions you make based on this material are your own.

Assessments

The Business Systems Snapshot and Operational Health Check produce scores based on your self-reported answers. They are diagnostic indicators, not audits or certifications, and their usefulness depends on the accuracy of your answers.

Digital products: licence

When you purchase a tool, template, guide, or bundle, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it within one business (yours). You may use it across your own team and modify it for your own operations. You may not resell, redistribute, share publicly, or repackage any tool or substantial part of it, whether modified or not. Purchased tools include access to updated versions of that tool when released.

Refunds

Digital tools come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If a tool doesn't work for your business, email hello@wheretoturn.ca within 30 days of purchase with your order details and we will refund you in full. We may ask what didn't work, because that feedback improves the tools, but answering is not a condition of the refund.

Consulting services

Consulting projects and advisory retainers are governed by a separate written agreement provided before work begins. These site terms do not create any obligation for us to provide, or you to purchase, consulting services.

Intellectual property

The site, its content, the Where To Turn name, the assessment frameworks, and the tools are owned by Where To Turn. Third-party names referenced on this site (software platforms, books, organizations) belong to their respective owners; references are informational and imply no endorsement in either direction.

External links

The Resources hub links to government bodies and other external sites. We verify links periodically but do not control their content. Their terms and privacy policies apply once you leave this site.

Limitation of liability

The site and free resources are provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the site or any purchased product is limited to the amount you paid for that product. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing limits the consumer rights you hold under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario.
